Janette the Public Service Announcer

Beach wedding photography is really tricky. I've photographed 3 weddings in my humble career as a photographer, and 2 of those were at the beach... I guess living in Southern California warrants that sort of thing.. Anyway. Back to the trickiness.. The lighting is really hard to work with and sand burns are commonplace...But the worst part of it all?!!! Beachgoers!!! I've had to delete or crop sooo many images (3rd image below was one) due to gawking tourists in bad shorts and tennis shoes in the background. Here's a free public service announcement for you renegade rompers that like to photobomb 28% of my photographs.... Don't wear socks and tennis shoes to the beach!! And here's another tip... If you see a beach wedding, fight the urge to gravitate toward it and instead gawk happily from a distance. Like... 100 ft. distance. Cool? I'm glad we can come to an agreement...

Carry on! ;-)

  3. Great photos, Janette!

I wonder though, how does a beach-goer even GET into that third picture. They must have wandered WAY to close to the wedding - how rude!

  6. They can't rope the wedding off or something? I would lose my mind as the bride! You had to crop people out of that 3rd picture? No. You are like all up in their grill. There had better not be people that close. Holy moly.

On a happy note, these are amazing! I love the second one so much!

  7. These are all so beautiful, and I agree with the other posters - how is it even possible that you had to crop someone out of the third picture? That's ridiculous.
People have no common sense or manners these days. It's upsetting.
