Crocheted Fancies

Sunday was a monumental day friends (and the highlight of my weekend)! I reckon I learned myself to crochet! Woo howdy!!!! Who is as excited as me?  I've always always always wanted to learn. But I never found anyone to teach me. (And believe me I've tried!) I ended up buying one of those Learn To Crochet kits at Michaels and  thus far I've made a scarf that ended up looking like a cup. Yes. A. Cup. Not sure how I managed that, but I'm not deterred. I have much yet to learn and looking forward to it. (Any tips, sites, or helpful videos would be appreciated...)

Tangled bliss awaits me...
Farewell!

  1. Hi Janette! Wow, congrats. That's quite an accomplishment in my book. I've always found that learning to crochet is uber hard. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

  3. I probably bought the same kits as you did at Michaels. I am still making my scarf and the first ting I attempted to make turned into a cute little octopus. I did find a great tutorial online but I will have to do some digging to find it as it has been awhile.

  5. I tried learning once. I made a scarf... until I ran out of yarn, so it's too short to be a scarf... and then I stopped.

If you get awesome super fast- I want that white blanket! haha! jk. :)

  8. Congrats! My 4th grade teacher taught our class how to crochet and we all made pot holders for Mother's Day (even the boys!). I don't really know how to do anything else but it's a cool skill to have. :)
